Some small things that could have been done better, like camera angles and camera focus.  But the room itself was very good.  Loved the mechanical items and puzzles that totally fit the theme.

I'd tried Enygma on a previous visit to Brussels a year and a half earlier. On that occasion I was underwhelmed by the puzzles in their Mayan game but subsequently felt I'd been overly harsh on it, so a return trip to the venue was high on my list. This time I tried their game based on the book Around The World In 80 Days, and found it an undiluted pleasure to play.

I think one of the hosts described the setting as steampunk, but the style is more faithful to Jules Verne than that: less faux s...

A superficially exciting set of games that didn't quite meet up to the expectation set by their beauty. The underlying puzzles were reasonable but a couple of questionable GM-ing decisions significantly impacted our experience.
This is a live avatar game paired with the Telescape inventory system. Our avatar gave us a quick scan of the room when the game started. We felt that the handheld camera needs to be on a harness as it's a bit shaky throughout the game play. Telescape was great at giving us close up shots on clues that we needed to focus on. One thing we wish they would've included is a 360 view of the room. This way the players would be able to divide and conquer as there were a good amount of "searching" that we had to do. The game was paired with music coming out from Telescape. We thought that was a nice touch for the game's overall atmosphere.
